All my ceramics are stoneware and food-safe (If there are exceptions, I will clearly inform you under the respective product.)
However, they should be hand-washed and should not be used in the microwave or oven (unless otherwise stated in the product description).
This is because I use glazes and decorations that are sensitive to dishwasher cleaning.
The oldest pottery finds in China are 16,000-20,000 years old. The "invention" has been made several times within different cultures independently of each other. The potter's wheel was invented by the Sumerians around 4000 BC. (from Wikipedia)
